Mood Shift

Instant nausea as my stomach twists, My mouth waters, my hands form fists. From just the thought of what might be, A simple thought that torments me. My mood shifts swiftly, so dark inside, Daring someone to ask me why. Then just as quickly I see some light, All feelings fade of wanting to fight. How long will my mood be stable, I think, As I reach for another drink.

What a dark poem and such a twist at the end. You are pretty clever at rhyming
