Monkey in the Brain

A restless mind, a frantic cage, A squirrel on a wheel, thoughts that engage. A starling's dance, a flurry, a flight, Scattered ideas, lost in the night. A beehive hum, a constant drone, Worries that swarm, a ceaseless moan. A mischievous imp, with tricks it weaves, Luring thoughts down paths of fallen leaves. The jester's call, a fleeting rhyme, Distracts the focus, and consumes all time. A broken record, stuck on repeat, Nagging thoughts, a mental feat. The gnat's shrill whine, an itchy plight, Annoying thoughts that cloud the light. But wait, there's more, a tangled crew, Multiple monkeys, a restless zoo. Conflicting ideas, in constant fray, Pulling focus every single way. Can this chaos ever be tamed? The mind, a whirlwind, to be claimed? Ah, but within the mental storm, A spark ignites a nascent form. The monkey mind, with training keen, Can morph from a wild to a focused scene. From playful swings to steady strides, The mind transformed, a place to confide. No more the chatter, the endless din, The monkey's mind, a disciplined win. For within resides a mighty king, The Monkey King, his wisdom will bring. The power of thought, a focused might, Can tame the chaos, and bring forth light.
