This morning I received a letter I’m rich beyond my wildest dreams They assure me it isn’t a con trick Or one of those ‘get rich quick’ schemes A relation I have never ever heard of Well, he’s left me millions in his will If I can forward my bank account details I’ll get the money from my late uncle Phil I dash round to tell my neighbour With my riches we can go on a cruise But she’s clutching an identical letter And was on her way round to tell me HER news I think I’ll bypass this incredible offer It seems we’ve both been told the same thing These scammers have not duped this lady I’ll give the fraud department a ring! But it was not real Contest Sponsored by Lewis Raynes 12~19~16

Good for you, Jan. I get scam letters every now and then. Once I got one saying I had won the lottery in England. Never been there! What annoys me more than anything about these scams are the idiots who fall for them. Are people thinking? Thank you for the stop and getting a laugh from my ass-inine humor. / M

It is so sad that these scams are getting more and more elaborate and people fall for them ... but if anyone asks for my bank account or personal details they get the phone put down on them - I know my mother tells them to 'piss off' or some other word lol which I find absolutely hilarious:-) hugs jan xx

Hello Jan, I've been tricked by this kind of letters. Now, I play along- LOL, All they want is your credit card. Anyways, I like when I receive mail from car dealerships and say I won a car. Once upon a time I was curious and peeked into my neighbor's mailbox, and guess what she had the same identical mail. My daughter and I enter lots of these drawings and we always win, THEN WE LAUGH. You'll find these drawings at the mall. Now I have to go read your "Romantic Moonlight" Love LINDA

I love this one Jan, such a shame it was a sham, wouldn't it be awful if you really got over excited and then turned out to be a scam how disappointed you would be. Good luck in the contest and Merry Christmas.....Vera

Hi Jan, Scammers get away with these shenanigans because most of the population is struggling. They may have a job but barely making it. I enjoyed the humorous spin on this subject. A without a doubt seven:-) Alexis PS, Your title was a "stop in your tracks" type of a title.

Originally I had the contest title and i got few reads but I got a lot more reads as soon as I changed it. Such a tragedy that these unscrupulous victims get rich at the expense of some very vulnerable people:-( hugs jan xx

I have been sent such messages, too. I am glad you were not fooled by this nonsense and that you were able to express the feelings of many in verse form. Peace & Blessings Matthew Anish
