Mona Lisa
16th century portrait
painted from a seemingly mystical sense
she is
femininity
and her smile is as elusive as the ability to touch fog
the portrait painted oil
shimmers dark colours
she is madonna
hands gracefully folded as her smile
enigmatic
creases the line in her mouth
and as you observe her face
you wonder where her soft eyes are falling
and why her lashes are gone
is she aristocratic
as it seems there is little communication between
artist and model
ah, Mona Lisa
your portrait sparks the imagination of us all
as we question the deeper meaning
of this Mona Lisa call.
