Momma Dearest

"I shall be telling this with a sigh" Robert Frost,The Road Less Travelled Momma told me there would be days like this Then she would hug me and give me a big kiss She always made everything seem much better All it ever took was her warm hug and a big kiss I miss my momma so very much today I need a warm hug and big kiss from her My world has been upside down for days I would give anything for her hug and a big kiss Written by: Carol Brown Entry: "Give Me A Kiss, Mommy" contest Written on: 10/12/2011 3rd Place Winner

A beautiful tribute to the love and security a good mother provides for her children. She is in turn remembered for her loving ways. Hugs to you my friend. Maybe not as good as Momma's but it can't hurt. God Bless, JB XXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOO

My momma wasn't big on the kissing, her momma died when she was little, on a train with strangers she pulled the cord, helped send her momma to the lord, but still with her there's riches... interesting verse Sweet Carol Brown...

A moving write. My mother died at age 48, when I was a young adult. Hers was the first funeral I ever went to. Hope you are well. Love, Robert.

I think you did a wonderful job with this write! I feel that some of the poem was written in a child sense but the second verse was mainly written from the adult viewpoint! And I understand that we all need and desire our mother's love through a kiss and a hug!! What a great write Carol! Incredible job!!

Wow! A very thoughtful and interesting write, Carol. I love it that the tone of a child is predominant in the poem. Wishing you luck in the contest. God bless, Ingibo
