Moment of Silence

A moment of silence in solitude soothes my soul, Bringing perfect peace and solace to my mind; It's the little chance I need to eagerly take To quietly leave the deafening boredom behind. More than a million amazing pictures I imagine That silently portray both beauty and wonder; Where dreams and wishes are whispering softly, With a gentle promise of hope, no one can fetter. I want to ponder and break free from the sound of conflict To end the cold war between my brain and my heart; The former thinks of something that denies The normal beat of the latter's innermost part. This kind of situation is annoying if not disturbing, To myself in scene I can do nothing but pause; Contemplate on a thing or sequence so relevant To my greatest goal and most commendable cause. My mind hears the beat of my heart loud and clear, My heart sees the painted points inside my head; They enjoy the flying freedom to make a choice Or a firm decision that isn't bad but good instead. They say the head is higher than the heart, Truly so, for that is the Almighty's design; But the pure and healthy heart is as important To the borrowed life of yours and mine. Biding their time before breaking the stillness, Both believe that turmoil makes no sense; The mystique of tranquility inside of me Comes from the moment of silence.
