Mockingbird

Written March 26, 2013 Hey you way up there in the tree Hiding away for none to see No I don't know why you refuse to be Why can't you just see what I've seen Hey little mockingbird don't mock me It's these mystical one-eyed dreams Keeping me from tossing myself Twenty thousand underneath the sea I am what I am I've gone too far to rescind These wonderful twisted dreams Where we're skipping stones by the stream I know what I feel Now you're even more real All I know is how to weep With the birds lulling me fast asleep
