Misunderstood As Sub Norm
In this life of people's normality
everyone expects the perfect norm
even slightly less can't be accepted
seems falling short such a storm
Throughout a life of stammering
so many situations are just hard
but one especially was way too much
I was no star where the norm starred
In that college class each were norm
when asked to read aloud by teacher
said couple words then block felt tense
all eyes piercing upon me a creature
teacher said sit get another to do it
felt real sub norm not good enough
but now many years all gone by
moved on to be me despite rough
Looking back had to go deep down
so eventually would come and rise
I count myself norm no matter what
at peace in midst of inward cries
