Often we say or do things hoping to gain some kind of reward and later we find that if we had waited we'd have fared much better. Sometimes in our hunger to better our own way of life we do things that alienate us from people we really don't want to lose. Then though we gain what we went after it is poor consolation when we see what it has cost us in the long run.                    Life Has Taught Me This:                                                                                  1) If I want something I should earn it. Not expect it to be given to me. No one OWES me anything and if someone does give me something then I should be most grateful.                 2) If something seems to good to be true, Hesitate And Think It Over Because It Probably Is.   3) It's more important to have friends and family than money. They last longer and love you more.                                                                                                                                   4) The Bible says: "Cast your bread upon the waters and you will find that after many days it will return unto you."  That means whatever goes around comes around. Whatever you hand out to others is GOING TO BE REPAID IN KIND, ---- Somehow, Someway, When you least expect it.  Count On It. and last but not least , Number 5) Always be kind to everyone and everything, No matter who or what it is. It's better to have friends everywhere than to have enemies ANYWHERE.   DO UNTO OTHERS AS YE WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU  ---  BECAUSE THEY WILL.

Mistakes are often made by folks who do not think before the act. If they did then they would see that it's a well known fact. That those who look before they leap tend to fare much better, Than those who rush ahead in hopes to capture some great treasure; Or perhaps some deal may pass and trickle through their fingers, And later on when they look back they find regret oft lingers, Long into the days and weeks and oft into the years, And when it does you'll often find your hind sight blurred by tears. Most know the future's poorly seen and hind sight's twenty-twenty, If you don't weigh your pros and cons you'll have regrets aplenty. Rush head long toward some goal, some long sought after treasure; Think not what may the future holds and repent at your leisure.

You have given us sage advice. I know about living with regrets, so I try to think before I act. I'm faving this so I can remember all of it when I want to give young people advice. Excellent message and very nice flow/rhyme too! Hugs, Carolyn (Soup mail on a different topic.)
