Missing You

I miss seeing your smiling face No other man can take your place My heart aches for what we once had Our parting left me oh so sad When we met it was all so great Our fleeting meeting wasn’t down to fate Being together was meant to be You set my burning spirit free But over time we have drifted apart A blue-eyed girl has captured your heart Now you spend your life with her Memories of you now a distant blur I’m on the search for a new romance If he’s right for me I’ll give him a chance But there is room in my heart should you return For the flames in my heart continue to burn Jan Allison 3rd August 2014
