In recent years it seems Christ has been removed from the Christmas season. I have no desire to restrict anyone's faith. I do however wish to joyously and openly express my own faith.
I choose to celebrate the Savior's Birth. A day of happiness, a day of worth. I sometimes worry, it will disappear. Christianity, is not welcome here. I know my faith is not the only one. When it's mentioned conversation is done. We are just talking why is there such fear. Christianity is not welcome here. There was a time, when at school we could pray. A distant memory from yesterday. Christ has been removed, from holiday cheer. Christianity is not welcome here. I think you should celebrate in your way. Everyone should have there own special day. When I'm restricted, it brings on a tear. Christianity is not welcome here. Contest:Season of Lights, Delights and enlightenment: Global Community.

every culture and country celebrates it differently and by all means, the ORIGINAL intent of it should never be looked down on or restricted. I love your kyrielle, and a big congrats for your win.

I see what you mean. I saw a sign that said "Keep Christ in Christmas" and I wondered if that was really possible. For many people, Christ and Christmas have nothing to do with each other. I am thankful though, that we live in a country where we can celebrate whatever and however we choose. I think it is important that everyone that agrees with this poem does something to share the good news of Christ's birth instead of being so gloomy. Otherwise they are only making our situation worse.

It's really too bad that people cannot respect how others choose to celebrate their holidays and if we want to say Merry Christmas, we should just say it!! Good one, Richard.

wow, why so dark? though the fact Christianity not welcomed explicitly but I positively believed that Christ is in every heart who missed him in deep, and I positively believed people still have their own Christianity through their own way :) - Hug, Yanny PS: Still brainstorming and be prepare for entering your magical contest :D

Hi Yanny, not my intention to be dark, our society used to embrace our Christian heritage, it seems as time goes on it is no longer Merry Christmas but rather Happy Holidays. I have no desire to have people of other faiths change how they celebrate their Holidays, I am sad to see our holiday being eroded for the purpose of political correctness.
