Missing

That forgotten little bit Scourged in a darkened corner A small beam hitting its pupil It refuses to blink It just stares Because words no longer matter to it No longer define it That’s how long… That’s how long it’s been missing And that beam is a lie That beam longs to tear it apart So it’s missing forevermore

The sadness in this poem touches me so deeply Laura...a hearbeat frozen in long long stare...Justin

This piece touches me too... it was a dark time for the past me... and often the beam returns in intense forces... ~Laura
