Misperceived

Keeping a friendship requires constant care, words and actions can be read all wrong. It's easy to judge a friend's trifle unfair. It's easy to think you no longer belong. View your actions using another's eyes, see if they will be seen as you suppose. It's likely at times to receive a surprise and find you render a thorn, not a rose.

Hello Paul … we are all different in many ways, so we need to compromise and not try to dominate or there won't be a friendship for long - thank you Paul - Lindsay

As is your habit, Lindsay, you write the truth. Folks who are unwilling to compromise usually end up with very few friends. I'm tempted to ask them, "Would you rather be right, or would you rather be happy?" All the best, Paul (w/ hugs)

I agree, we do have to inspect our words to make sure they are not misconstrued. What may seem funny to some may insult another. Friendship is a treasure and I have lost a few good friends over the years with no explanation. Great poetry for thought Paul. xxoo

Thank you, Connie. It's not soaring poetry, but perhaps the message has merit. Losing friends is painful, but when there is no explanation, it can be devastating. * * * I hope all is well w/ you and your cherished ones. Hugs, Paul
