Misled

You promised me That you'd change, Which you did For a little while. For three months You were a dream, Filled me with happiness, And my days with a smile. But sadly, it didn't last, Slowly, it's fading away. Please don't tell me It's going back to the same. I truly believed in you, So proud of the person I honestly had thought You had truly became. Eight years together, Loving and caring for you. Giving you my life With my heart and soul, Through the hurt and tears, Many hugs and kisses, Believing we're a team Headed towards the same goal. To be married was always The future plan. Committing to one another; Uniting as husband and wife. Signifying that final bond With rings on our finger; That for "better, for worse", Together, the rest of our life. We've invested too much Of our time and ourselves. Our days full of memories, Impossible to just forget. Are you really willing To let this pass on by, Only to wake up one day With deep sorrow and regret? Can you throw me away And cause me such pain, Leaving permanent scars behind, A constant reminder of you? Letting go of the only one That ever gave a damn, Who loved you the most And never gave up on you? Is it worth the fee, The price you'll pay? What will it Have actually cost, Your true love, Your forever love; Our life together Will have been lost. Happiness is what we deserve, And we both can have. Beside you as your wife I know is where I belong. Will you ever marry me? Will I ever see my Wedding day? Are you finally to commit,] Or just stringing me along? I hope your answer Is the right one, Because the signals you're sending Are so unclear and confusing me. So, be the strong man I know you can be, Everything I truly believe A GOOD man to be!
