Mishap

Lost, alone and lovely All by myself, it's true This might be how it's supposed to be It's okay, I conclude I understand this mishap It's pretty plane, you see I don't understand why people think, I need someone with me I'm happy by myself I smile all the time I'll put my love up on a shelf And hide whats deep inside I'm having difficulty explaining this To no-one else but me I can't help but hide the truth From all who may well see No matter how I write it It all comes out as lies I'll keep the honesty deep within Still seeing it in my eyes

Very sad and, as DP says, i hope not true. Well written too, but i think it would be improved if the last stanza was swapped about, maybe: I'm having difficulty explaining this / to no-one else but me./ I can't help but hide the truth / from all who may well see/ No matter how I write it / It all comes out as lies / I'll keep the honesty deep within / still seeing it in my eyes.
