Mirror
I wish to see your smile again
Unabated
My tear ducts coat the ruby soaked foundation
That I stand on
I listen to bluebirds sing their uplifting whispers
While this concave reflection
Knows what it did yesterday
Yet, I only have 15 minutes to decide
How I want to be treated tomorrow
I tell myself the innocent laughter
That hovers within my nocturnal skies
Can
And should
Be better to me
Because darkness is all I knew.
Now it’s time to show it the mirror.
For I am
Somebody
