Migraine
A distant drum beats slowly
Building to a thunder roar
An omen speaking of things to come
Bringing pain and so much more
I pull the shades down slowly
Dim the lights where shadows hide
I wrap the pillow round my head,
But i cant escape from whats inside
Like a screaming runaway locomotive
It crashes through my brain
Like a vice that just keeps squeezing
Bringing never ending pain,
My head will throb for hours
My stomach will empty all within
Another day this madness claims
I know it will attack again
I pray to whatever God will heal me
To hear my desparate plea,
Please release me from this torment
That just wont let me be.
