Mighty Wind (A)
(In memory of Entertainer, "Bernie Mac")
How We used to sit in front
of the tubes and grin
Enjoying the Time with you
that We could spend
AMERICA, you called Us like
We were an Old Friend
Through COMEDY, a positive
MESSAGE, you did send
All the while, Teaching Us, how
to take it, on the chin
For US, into your World, you
just LOVED to blend
Reaching out to All races and
COLORS of skin
As a father-figure and role model,
you had set the trend
OFF of REAL LIFE, creatively, did
you take a spin
Like you, for human folly, wished
to make an amend
If only We could get One, Strong,
and Mighty Wind
Cause that's what it'll take to bring
you back here, Again
