Midnight Waking
Another night without sleep,
You haunt me in my dreams
Once a deep friendhip, now a dead end
Wishing that we can mend what we once had
But that seems impossible now
Glad you have an olive branch,
Still wounded by your leaves
The pain is supposed to go away,
with each passing day
But no matter what my mind says,
Yet my heart can’t forgive
Live and let live
