Midnight Waking

Another night without sleep, You haunt me in my dreams Once a deep friendhip, now a dead end Wishing that we can mend what we once had But that seems impossible now Glad you have an olive branch, Still wounded by your leaves The pain is supposed to go away, with each passing day But no matter what my mind says, Yet my heart can’t forgive Live and let live
