Midnight Train
A bold intrusion has prevailed
Where branches bend, and night-birds nest
The starry night has been impaled
A bold intrusion has prevailed
The starry night has been impaled
Against the sky where moonlight crests
A bold intrusion, has prevailed
Where branches bend, and night-birds nest
~
A silver chain is southward bound
Where weary creatures rest at ease,
but scatter now, upon the sound.
A silver chain is southward bound
And clouds of dust, rise off the ground,
This flash of light-speed stirs the leaves
A silver streak is southward bound
where weary creatures rest at ease
