Midnight
Weary the world in sleepy stance,
Fatigue now swirls in slumber's trance.
Midnight lurks dark upon these streets,
Dog gangs now bark where strange feel meet.
The cloudy moon shines on the wane,
The reverse noon streaks on these lanes.
The rain comes quick as wind blows chill,
The candle wick frames shadows still.
Odd moments tell of lonely times,
No one to dwell on awkward chimes.
Thoughts wander then so far away,
Feelings know when to blend with stay.
