Midnight, Midmorn

Pleasurably aimless, this unhurried walk around midnight through softly undulating, dark-green landscape of mist-moistened late summer grass; from a far-off bough the winds carry away the chirping of what may have been the first wakeful bird of dawn, or the last drowsy bird of the night!
