Mexican Coke

After receiving approval from the FDA, high fructose corn syrup replaced cane sugar one day. The world market price of sugar went sky high. The company thought they would give it a try. The move significantly lowered the production cost. However, the most ardent fans thought something was lost. The world’s most popular soft drink earned a lot of fame. Somehow, many thought the taste was not quite the same. They still use cane sugar at production plants in Mexico. Their soft drink today is the same as it was years ago. So some people import the stuff from below the border in the south. It’s the only kind that will ever enter their mouth.
