Metamorphosis

In the shadow of life passed, we build our pinnacle of solace high, shielding the demise of our own making. We draw further within our being, spinning the silken thread more tightly about our cocoon. raised from oblivion... ecstasy awaits Dare not deny self love, in it is revealed love of all things. Dare not deny self esteem, without which… we hide ourselves from ourselves, never to know how beautiful we are, in metamorphosis of soul. © cgh nov 5 2011

as the the 3 line verse in the middle the meaning of the word oblivion & ecstacy are subjective..a matter sof opinion not a fact..NOT an OBJECT which can be seen, has an odour, tasted, or touched..and I would GUESS this would not be seen as haiku...I did my best Charles only Michael really knows but if I have to decide..I don't see hear taste smell anything ..it's all in your mind..blank screen..here

based on what you and I have previously known to be true about haiku I agree 100 per cent. However, this poem is identical to the one which i posted which won the award with hsa. It is subjective and the cut is about opposite feelings. Feeling are now accepted as well as the senses.

Love this Charles, you point out some very deep thoughts throughout the verse.
