Message On the Mountain -

Answers were needed, like wind direction, she could feel him heavy in her heartbeat, it was a good weight, the kind carelessness brings to capricious carress, his toe prints still in the trail of beach paths in her fantasy's shores, were his words an omen of futurity's obsession, is his face a language for love or lust, could there be blessings in knowing his total nature, is he alive as art in her soul, or is he a bore when brought before her banquet, to the mountain mystic she journeyed with joltings in her guessings, a Seer who fed the mountains spirit syrup from a collection of wasted wants spread forth by reused wine bottles, labels changed but all blue from experiences, the gypsy, to wise to be pretty, and too natural to be ugly enquired of the woman with youth as a weapon and curiosity as a concern, "What is the most dangerous thing you've ever done?", and she replied, 'falling in love', smiling out of embarrassment, the gypsy smiled too, remembering all that, after being given the man's name, a simple photo, and a birth date she stared into Time gone missing, exhaled from a soft stun and told the inquisitive girl, "He'll meet you in these mountains, where gypsies speak of love in cards and legacies in crystals..." A wonderful way to describe how our minds and hearts yearn to capture the image we have of the ONE desired love. My 2 or 3 encounters with psychics have been interesting, however, True love cannot be predicted... it's best to leave it to fate.

I love this poem. Message on the mountain. I met a few Gypsies in my life. Many years ago that is over 25 years ago. I lived in Chicago and the Queen of the Gypsies died. They the funeral home for a whole week and had a feast that lasted that long. Thanks for sharing this. Lucilla

Gypsies fascinate me Lucilla - they seem to have tradition and spirit that preceeds emperors and megalithic monuments - I would enjoy monitoring their funeral rites - J.A.B. %

I cannot read too much of your words at one time, for it is that good to which it carries thought throughout, from beginning to end. I process your well written words. Obviously this is a good place for me to stop and rest with my spirit kin upon this mountain.

Beautiful write and it touches me very deeply in my heart. Sometimes I imagine myself dancing as a Gypsy, the way my Nana would tell me I would do if she were to sell me to them (And Old Joke between her and I) Only, the Gypsys were a hidden love I held in my heart. This is a wonderful write and one I will cherish

Thats a funny anecdote Jay - I still think I may have a shot at the circus! Gypsies take alot of dirt and disrespect from the staus quo but I know they have a fervor for creative survival that I am intrigued by - kinda like the way I feel about you - this piece was meant for your touch - J.A.B. %

Sounds like a good future and wish awaiting Justin, and one can only tell a banquet is never a bore. I think this kind of obsession, comes once in a life time. The imagination in your poem made me come to life. A simple question, before falling in love, will do as time reveal itself. a sure quest to grasp on. I love the intimidation brought on by the simplest hint of lust, love and smiles awaiting above the bridge of only you KNOW OF. Holding on to fate is what I live for, and by the looks of it. I hope passion waits for me high in the sky. always yours truly LINDA

So glad I was able to give your sense of sensuality & Fate sometime to grab onto PD. - considering how much passion you sublimely exude I'd say Passion will follow you, and bring you anywhere my Sphinx - I'm also happy you noticed the ambience of intimidation in this write -there is a manifold intensity to it - J.A.B. %
