Mercy Said No

I was wallowing in wickedness and woe And faced with a fearless, fiery foe, I was weak and weary, in sin I wallow; But mercy said no and never let me go… I lost all the saintly seeds I wanted to sow; All my blessed balloons I couldn’t blow …in that sour season, I was sick and slow Yet mercy said no and never let me go… I was haunted by a scary shadow, I could hear the song of the saintly sparrow Saying I need to go back to The Way… narrow. Oh mercy said no and never let me go… I lost the glorious glee and glow, I couldn’t pay back the debt I owe; My valiant voice suddenly went low, Yet mercy said no and never let me go… Now, I have surrendered my sin and sorrow His saving grace and glory I know; I’m free from the forceful, fiery foe Because mercy said no and never let me go...
