Mental Health Controls Her
She sits and watches happiness,
But feels so sad
Watching the good,
Yet, feeling so bad
Taken over by addiction,
She was given a different path
Feeling restricted,
Yet, sometimes glad
Because no one understands
The hard times she’s had.
Mental health controls her
She feels it in her body, soul, and mind
That joy in life is hard to find
Feeling so blind
Remembering the days that she shined
Yet wanting to put it all behind
And get back to the grind.
Mental health controls her
She’s sober from addiction
Yet, she still feels conflicted
It’s like a contradiction
Where is her prescription?
Always in suspicion
Is it real or is it fiction?
Please tell her your opinion.
Mental health controls her
Her happiness lies
in her children’s eyes
They are her prize
Never ask twice
About the binding ties
With them, she will always rise
until the day she dies.
She controls her mental health.
