After the fact...

This poem simmered me;

Word for word, on and on,

And why is it they flinch in anger

Each time they're reminded, "You're eight years older than I."

Eight years have passed with this marriage.

How admirable... a man of few words, but...

We must be ourselves? come what may?

Smart men take the fifth So their wives won't have fits Some with few words group Sad are those shooting soot Sane men plays the buffoon. A man must stand firm Saving his magic wand From fiery furnace- A woman's hand; her wrath It behooves him to trace. I applaud most men Posing like mister clean Ready for dessert Before or after meals Their shirts are made of steel. *
