Memory of Yesterday

A memory of yesterday When kisses weren’t that far away And all was made for lovers’ play We knew our dreams would never stray And every star had you in sight Those moonbeams were for our delight And reasons were to hold you tight Another kiss a long good night We walked through all our yesterday We saw no end to our delight To every hope we held so tight And from this love we’d never stray Yet time did come to blur our sight And tried to mask our dreams away A fantasy of truth at play Which cast two lovers into night It seemed so clear why did we stray Perhaps it wasn’t in our play From here it all seems far away A memory of yesterday
