Memory of a Life Long Gone
Dark and dull
A photo taken long ago
Black and white
No emotion
But look closely
There are things you could discover
Things no one had
Just because it looks blank
Doesn't always mean it is
Just because there’s nothing to look at
Doesn't mean there’s no color
A spark of hope
A rainbow after the storm
Only to fade away
Like everything good
Life as a boy
No one loved
Black and dull
Life as a boy
Who never learned how to care
A spark of hope
Color trying to seep in
Fading away once again
Life as a boy
Who wanted nothing more
Then a chance at success
Life as a boy
Who wanted a family
Who wanted to be loved
Who wanted to care
Who wanted a story
Who wanted a life
Who wanted anything
But a dull photo
Black and White….
Life as a boy,
Long forgotten
Life as a boy
Who no one knew existed….
