Memory Loss

Mind forgets thoughts of recent times, Etch blurry lines of my story; Even new plots seem spent of rhyme, Try to divine a glimpse to see. Must time erase the new thoughts here? Expect to lift some new recall, Mindset can trace some sense of cheer, Offer a gift that sweetens gall; Reach for a point to live fond tale, Yield to a light that comes to be. Live verse that join in carefree trails, Observe fond sights that eyes still see; Sense vistas fade as day departs, Stillness now trades in broken parts. Leon Enriquez 05 May 2015 Singapore

Dear Jan: Yes, it's very sad and even frightening to see our aged loved ones suffer like this. Even, we, as we get old become mere shadows of our pristine past. This is scary. But that's life. And we must embrace our eventual sunset years with acceptance, and courage Jan. Thank you for the comments and support. Leon
