Memories of Yesterday

Memories of Yesterday By Kevin Robey January 28, 2014 A light So cold Floorboards lined with mold A day So bright It’s tearing out my sight A crack These scars Just staying where they are A chase Dismayed My audience will fade I’m staying here just for the day Where I just want for you to say That you can take them all away These memories of yesterday We kiss These thoughts Worth every war I ever fought We hold These hands With fingertips that understand I breathe We fall On daydream roads we stall A glimpse Of you And everything you’ll ever do So I’ll just stay here for the day One day soon maybe you’ll stay I pray you'll take them all away These memories of yesterday

Thanks! Well the whole point is to take away those bad memories that continue to haunt you and have left emotional scars. It's about replacing those memories with the idea that love can be good again, and not just something that will lead you to pain
