Memories of Dusk
Fading into dusk, the long summer days
Childhood days that seemed to go on forever
Forever a memory of times without care
Always taking care to be home for dinner
Sometimes dinner served in the shade of the arbor
Green arbor trailing clusters of red grapes
Grapes for snacking on fall afternoons
Afternoon's when leaves started to turn red an gold
The last golden days before another school year
The years roll by, soon each one a memory
Cherished memories of summers long gone
Gone, not forgotten, now in the dusk of my days...
