Memories and Wishes

The sunlit memories of childhood were happy, they were fun What happened to those days of past? What happened to the sun? For now the sky is gray and black and often filled with rain Oh where, oh where, is that sun to relieve me of this pain? The many days then of my youth had sunshine and had glee But now they’re gone and far behind, I guess they’re history. If only, then, the sun would show and smile upon me now I know that I’d get through the days with happiness somehow.
