Memories

In the cold night sky, sat the moon Elegant though modest Among the glittering stars dotting on him, Like a pearl exuding careless grandeur Lying on a purple silk blanket... Witnessing the leaf-rustling breeze Imparting life to the dead night... The lake singing the rippling melody With its silvery waters Accompanied by the soft orchestra Of the breeze swept reeds... There in the middle of all this was she Yet so far away... Swimming the warm waters of her memory pond Savoring every stroke, reliving every moment Etched deep in her heart... Feeling the cold breeze gently ruffling Her soft hairs away from her face Yet not-so-feeling it all Silent tears sliding down her moist cheeks Like dew rolling down a grass-blade The immortal memories tasting bitter-sweet Teasing in the lone darkness Yet not alluding company all along the journey...
