Memories
She walked right out that door and never looked back
Not wanting anymore this one who had always lacked
Finding what she really needed as dictated by her inside
So as much as they had pleaded she finally set them all aside
And on her way she went as each day passed her gently by
Her message being so well sent never again did they try
As her life was now good the way things were meant to be
And she thought it to be good that them she'd never again see
Walking down her own road but so many now by her side
So much was still owed, but know what, she no longer cried
She had made it through her past and a sad one I must say
Not allowing the pain to last but now living her life for today
Who knew her to be so strong this little girl no one knew
Those days were so very long but in each day she grew
And now look how strong and how wonderful she became
So no matter how bad the wrong you too can do the same
