Melting Away

Winter had us under its icy spell As we shivered in the cold We were cooped up as snowflakes fell As the blizzard took hold But now he slips through the icy cracks As his frozen realm begins to melt Spring has made her way back The warmth of her breath is felt Winter gives one last icy stare As he slowly disappears His reign has come to an end And he vanishes around the bend Spring wears a crown of green As she spreads blossoms everywhere She will now reign as queen As nightingales sweet songs we hear

You have painted a pleasant picture with words that tantalize, teas and entertain while they catapult the reader into a fantasy as we experience the passing of winter and the coming of spring. Emile. #7

the title melts my heart. We don't have many frozen scenes in Utah this year, but I am always eager to see the queen of the year appear!!
