Melodic Compounds

Keys pressing soft chords on the piano No colors here, just black, white and gray A single light shines into the room Is it possible to sing your heart away? "All I did was suffer.." she cries in the dark Her chest rises and falls with the pain Melodies bouncing off and come floating back So beautifully resistant, but going insane. Keys pressing chords on her heartstrings The pitch giving rise to her tears Breathing in the melodic compounds These verses that scream of pain and fear Dark eyelids hoping for a better vision Fingertips pressing for some kind of release Vocal chords rising to the vaulted ceiling Echoing back down vibrations, and peace. Keys pressing soft chords on the piano No colors here, just black, white and gray A single light shines into the room Is it possible to sing your heart away?

Definitely piano in the air today - this is awesome. Well done, Juli-Michelle.

Oh wow, I posted a poem so similar to this today, about a piano bleeding a sad person's emotions... Love your poem, is expresses sadness so well..
