Megan
You are my daughter forever in my heart,
maybe not from birth, or right from the start.
Sometimes you may doubt if my feelings are true,
but when I hear the word daughter I always think of you.
You came to me in a special way,
I will never forget that bright sunny day.
With long golden hair and eyes vibrant blue,
I knew without question that I would love you.
So quickly you’ve matured right in front of my sight,
A beautiful young woman you’ve grown up just right.
Remember a mother’s love is not something given at birth.
It is something that grows and earns it’s own worth.
So my dear sweet Megan as time goes by,
Never doubt how much I love you or wonder why.
My golden hair daughter with eyes vibrant blue,
God brought an angel to me when I met you.
