Measure of Love
As the borrowed sunrise, kisses the sky
Your beauty entraps my very being
My future, imprisoned as you walk by
Determined to keep my heart from fleeing
The moon and stars grow jealous of your smile
The mutinous stars, refusing to shine
The moon hides her face in blind denial
But in your presence the flowers will pine
Ten thousand poems are written of you
In declaration of undying love
The artists of old have painted you true
The vision, the poets were speaking of
My love is measured by each breath you take
Sealed with the promise that my heart will make
