Maybe a God

If only you knew I felt this way If only you could feel the same If only I could wrap my arms around you Hug you Kiss you Feel your warmth Your love Your light If only your radiance wasn’t so overwhelming Maybe I wouldn’t be ensnared Maybe I wouldn’t be hypnotized The silver of your eyes Glowing with a metallic flare The silky white of your hair Flowing like a rich cloth scarf If only you weren’t so cold Maybe I could have a place there In your heart If only I could thaw you out Break down your walls Destroy your barriers Maybe you could trust me Love me Have me Need me Want me Maybe we could be happy together Wait… Who am I kidding What am I thinking Am I wrong in believing Maybe a God could love me
