May We Always Create Together

Might we return to clear, flawful epitomes of our past, where feelings bloomed into unoccupied realities, worlds where we roamed, explored, traversed in our seditious verse… Where conviction engraved our rivals’ lips with lightning bolts of silver, raiding their muddled hills with the chaos of our creations, daring to beguile, snatch, and dissolve, all misjudged resolve… Were I to grab hold of the passion you once called Father, were I to fill your brittle ribs with the epiphanies you have long let lost, our words would tread along the broken, the troubled and the scorned melting the creases of anger from every weary brow challenging and regenerating the one you are now…

Hey, your words are potent like the creator (forces of nature for those of us who do not anthropomorphize). They have lightning bolt power. You also use all kinds of allusions. So you ain't no lightweight. You know you are a creative genus. Out there all by yourself. I am so impressed, but I do fall easily. It's part of my nature. Though, I can't help it when I read your work.

Ohhh...I wish I have read this earlier! Such an inspiring creativity, dear Laura. I love your word combines, so effortless, even as you try to deliver a message, it shines through without distracting from the artistic flow. I wasn't here for a day and a half (was counting... lol!), had to attend some seminar. Glad to be back though. A 7! HUgs! :-) Kim

Hello Laura, This one is indeed quite passionate and most compelling. The flow of your free verse and the tenor and power of your words make the reader (and in this case -- this reader) want to read this poem over and over. "Lightning bolts of silver" and "brittle ribs with the epiphanies" are particular image phrases of great import. All I can say is "WOW"!! Enjoyed this one immensely!! A "7" and A FAV!! Best Always, Gary

Gary! It's you again, brilliant poet. This means a lot coming from you. As you know I admire your poetry greatly. When passionate poets' purpose is to create, one will not settle with another's downtrodden failure. They will raise them up and support them with new refreshed words! Words that will heal and challenge him! ~Laura
