May It Be

I must be mindful not to break this ardent suspense, To know too much is to destroy this perfection… What if I am afraid to enter into your heaven? What if I am scared I will find flaw in your fleece? There is a great danger entering your terrain… To tiptoe on your heart is not my forte, Nor is it my place to tread on such grounds… Yet you ignite such fires that only you can feed, Only you can be, for even I cannot see… I wander within you, searching for more.. Wanting to light you up, and feel your warmth, Following a heart that refuses to pump for anyone else, Hoping it will lead to the blue waters of your eyes… I need to know the peril you face every day, I need to share in your unabashed brevity, To hold your tears and fears in the cup of my hands, And release them into the air we breathe… If only in the mind, May it be If only left in this valiant apprehension, May it be If only to lightly touch, May it be If only for a faultless moment… This mortal soul needs you to hold…

May it be that you receive the kiss that cares and the touch that you can believe Laura...you covet with compassion and curiosity that has a transcendental sensuality...you seek the ellusive diamonds of love, yet they glimmer for you. I like the passionate dichotomy between the worth of knowledge and the seduction and reward of suspenseful mystery, allowing desire to be it's own special knowledge of love...J.A.B.

Ah, there is no powerful quill than that of a heart who knows what it wants...such tantalizing thoughts triggered by your words, Laura. "I need to know the peril you face every day, I need to share in your unabashed brevity, To hold your tears and fears in the cup of my hands, And release them into the air we breathe…" Brilliant and honest!" I love the poetess that you are and the woman that you unabashedly are, my friend. A 7. Another of your bests. Hugs! Kim :) :)
