May Dreams
In the depth of the sunlight we feel it coming
with robins singing and woodpeckers drumming.
We are touched with warmth upon our skin
and our hearts say let the season begin!
The gorgeous blooms are about to burst through;
the snow's departed and the grass is new.
Everyone's spirit has been lifted
with tangible beauty we have been gifted.
And so has come on little cloud feet
the month of May rain-drenched but sweet.
Dreaming of summer we delight our time
in fields of green with beauty sublime.
