Think you may have been an Aussie Joe, last time on the planet, south, probably fought in some British war, till yer chips were cashiered out, used ol .303 enfield, no bloody doubt, but life n death, was turn about, but nothings bloody sure, perhaps amongst the Boer, did ya lifeblood here run out.... Great write my friend! I loved the line, "...but life n death, was turn about," that about says it all! Life in death, is that what they wanted from Aussie Joe? Wow, .303 enfield, what a weapon that is! You must be careful with that one! Wonderful poem Don! Awesome Work!!

I have used the old unit 303 as Harry Morant said of the Boer War, till his life blood did run out, shoot straight he said to the firing squad don't make a mess of it. He was a Pom but we made an Aussie out of him. Watch the kick from ole 303, its punch can knock you out...
