Masks
Masks
Feelings often fall – like tear drops – upon life’s mirrors.
Experiences seem to coalesce within the surface of bottomless lakes.
Written words tell stories ones voice does not mean to speak of.
Ones subconscious enfolds – all – lost upon the waves of times passing.
Into life – she brings - many, many rays of brilliant light.
She has been the catalyst for many a dazzling day !
Sadly, hovering within reach, so many black clouds and lightening
- judgmental, critical, know it all, distant, walls, no feelings for –
casting heavy shadows across the faces of hope, of desire,
of dreams unfulfilled, of experience touched but ever so lightly.
These black clouds, these shadows, these rays of light,
combined - beneath your beauty - a mask doth make, to hide. to show
within eyes one can look into that gives one glimpses of you.
After all this time !, I still know not, nor what to do ?
