Masks

Very calmly I wait for you to see me. Not the person I was but what I have become. I fight the dreams that haunt me. Nothing else really matters at all. I wear a mask of passion. You are all that I think of. Every little touch I crave, causes my blood to surge. I wear a mask of devotion. You know I have your back. I want to hold you when you cry. letting you know everything will be alright . I wear a mask of romance. Showering you with love and hope. Affection from tiny little kisses. Love notes that are sent with love. I wear a mask of timidness. You are much braver than me. I want to run away and hide. Whenever you whisper my name. I also wear a mask of insecurity. You must scale the walls in place. I am locked in a high tower alone, with fierce dragons breathing fire. Sometimes you say I hide, behind these masks from you. Truth is I am waiting for you to see, my masks keep me forever true.
