Martyrum, Martyrum
Martyrum, martyrum
Surely, my suffering had a higher meaning.
The war that I’ve witnessed had a lesson,
It had to mean something…
Martyrum, martyrum
Surely, it was meant to be
For the young me to know what adults do at night…
Unwillingly
Martyrum, martyrum
Surely, I was meant to learn something from his death…
A lesson for the ages? Nothing good lasts forever?
I still search for the meaning, no answer.
Martyrum, martyrum
I loved her so much
but couldn't give her what she deserved
So I let go of what my heart couldn’t afford
Martyrum, martyrum
I still dream about my friends
Even when I was the one who ignored them
Shame is all that i have for them
Martyrum, martyrum
Surely there is something to gain from all of this
A beautiful place, wisdom, perhaps grace?
My suffering is noble. It has to be. It must be…?
