Mars
Fetch me the moon and I will give you
the red planet of our forgotten life
blown away by the rust of time
seducing imagination of mortal earthlings
If the blue earth is my mother
is the red planet my father
see what you believe
look and it is there
monuments that testify
something someone so similar to us
Doubters doubt Believers believe
Dreamers dream Doers do
build me a rocket as big as a city
fill it with hope fuel it with destiny
roam the space highway and byways
guide me back to abandon home
let me breath the red dust
let me taste bittersweet fate of ancestors
My tears flow into rivers
rejuvenating veins of life of the crusty surface
opening the deep red heart
bleeding life again
live my father live
If secrets of Mars ever revealed
they would remember us
