Marriage
Marriage
Liking nurtured friendship.
Slowly began courtship.
Neighbors started gossip
Two young hearts chose same goals.
In mind was sown love-seed
stem of passion to yield.
Root of emotion pricked
two soft delicate souls.
Both approached with courage.
They wanted to arrange
the desired marriage.
So joy dances and rolls.
‘Whether you hesitate
to refuse or accept
marriage, you will regret.’
‘Yes’ and ‘No’ play same roles.
